The Perfectly Purposed Foundation was born out of a profound sense of obedience to God's calling on my life. As someone who has personally journeyed through the depths of mental illness, I understand the struggles and isolation that can accompany this fight. My path to healing was illuminated by the Word of God and its timeless principles, which guided me out of darkness and into a place of hope and purpose.
It is this transformative experience that fuels my passionate commitment to service, particularly for human service workers in Douglas County, Nebraska. These individuals dedicate their lives to supporting others, yet often neglect their own mental wellness in the process. Recognizing this gap, The Perfectly Purposed Foundation aims to provide essential resources, support, and community for those who serve the most vulnerable among us.
Our foundation is dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to mental wellness, rooted firmly in faith. We strive to empower human service workers to recognize their own value and well-being, offering them the tools and support they need to thrive. Together, we can create an environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and equipped to carry out their crucial work in uplifting those in need.
My journey with anxiety has been both challenging and transformative. In the depths of my struggles, I realized that the weight of stress and worry often felt insurmountable.
Each day seemed to bring new challenges, and my mind was a constant whirlwind of thoughts that pulled me in every direction.
I discovered the power of taking life one day at a time.
Implementing daily practices such as meditation, journaling, scheduling, and planning became my lifeline.
Meditation allowed me to ground myself, fostering a sense of peace amidst the chaos. Journaling provided an outlet, enabling me to articulate my feelings and reflect on my thoughts.
By scheduling and planning, I organized my days, making tasks feel more manageable and reducing overwhelm.
Prayer also played a significant role in my healing process. Turning to God in moments of distress offered me comfort and reassurance.
It helped me cultivate a deeper faith that guided me through my hardest moments.
Inspired by my experiences, I created a journal specifically for women who face similar struggles with anxiety and stress.
This journal serves as a tool for daily reflection, encouraging women to engage in meditation, set intentions, and embrace their journey with faith. I believe that by sharing these practices, we can foster a supportive community and empower each other to tackle our anxieties one day at a time.
Together, through this journal, we can learn to worry less and find solace in each day's small victories.
